Euro has come
The Euro is new money that can be used in any 12 euroland
country.
In 2002 is the first year of euro.
After 2 weeks we are mixed up to use them a little, but we
get used to accept euro little by little. I had a look into
the mailbox in January 17th, then I found an envelope in
which there was a calculator. I have recived it from Italian
government agency.
Last year I heard that Italian government distributed a
calculator in lire-euro to residents on TV news. I can't
understand all of the things that a newscaster says but I
was sure that he said they gave us calculators. Then I
waited and waited, but it isn't arrived. That was no longer
in my memory. At the end of the year some bank clerks handed
a calculator to us in Piazza Repubblica, so I got one. And I
set an approximate euro price into my Viser Palm-os. We have
got two calculators and Viser Palm-os. We were all set to
come euro and greeted the New Year. I recieved a calculator
at 17th from Italian government agency, but it can't be
helped now, can it?
Euro banknotes are uniform throughout 12 euroland countries.
Coins are designed different national symbols on the reverse
side. I like 10 cents with a design of "Venus by Botticelli"
best. Early in the New Year we heard an false euro money
affair and an miss coin affair. After coming euro there is
no trouble in exchanging when we travel all over euroland
country. Welcome euro!
